🍭Pretending their magnatiles are lollipops and ice cream! How sweet are these two little explorers?

💡When kids pretend a toy represents something else, we call this symbolic play. This is one of the first stages of pretend play and allows us to start seeing our little one's imagination and understanding of the world around them.

🌲Our Green Room is the main learning space for our 3s and 4s (VPK).

🦁We have our pretend play area where students can dress up and play through different scenarios.
🐵Our block center has different materials for the students to build and work together. This is also where our explorers meet for circle time.
🦒The literacy center has a spot for students to engage with books of different themes and levels. You can also see their gallery which holds their work.
🦓The work space includes our art center where students have materials to draw, paint, color and craft.

👀Our sensory wall gives the opportunity to explore different textures and colors, helping to develop the senses.
⚖️The balancing bar and mirror develops self-awareness and gross motor skills and they practice pulling up and standing.
🧗🏽‍♂️The foam climber allows for risk taking in a safe manner.
🧸The toy shelf is full of developmentally appropriate toys.
💤Each baby has their own personal crib.

💛Our VPK room got some fine motor work in also! They ripped up their own paper and then pinched and placed onto their lines.
